Facebook?

For years now I have been the epitome of the hate for Facebook. If you want to talk to someone, call them. Or even text them. But I guess it's time I caved into it. So I finally made one, and so far it's not TOO bad. Although half the people who added me I either have never seen in my life or it's some long lost family twice removed from my great step-uncles side.

As you can probably already guess I've never been the most social of people, usually just stayed at home and hung out with my family and a few friends. But that's a thing of the past. I'm not going to sit around all day moping about some chick who couldn't give a rats ass about me, so why should I care about her?

This is how I've decided to move on, make a Facebook! Haha, got to love the internet. Who knows, I might make a few good friends, maybe even meet a girl in my area. My second interview is also today at 6pm so today (so far) seems like a good day! I'll let you guys know later how the interview went, and whether or not I got the job!

Thanks everyone, take care.

  3. Good luck man!

And I totally agree with you on the social network thing...when my twin had problems with a girl, the hardest thing wasn't the breakup but the flood of questions from people for whom his relationship status would have been none of their business in years past, but is now public knowledge when your relationship status changes to "single."

  4. I totally agree with Touch and Feel, i have it the same way, seems to get alot of people bumping into you, and its just kind of weird when you aint been speakin to them for ages, and they randomly come commentin.

  7. After you use Facebook for a while, you will see the benefits over the aggravation. Particularly for your blog!

Just make sure you turn off all the damn notifications, and never EVER start playing any games that someone invites you to play. :)

Good luck for the 2nd interview.

but i think the only guy who really benefits from it, is FB owner...

all the rest of the users think they must have it, not more not less...

  14. Facebook is great for one thing and one thing only... getting in touch with people whose names you know, but have no friggin' way to figure out how to contact them. Facebook was nice for getting in touch with long lost friends of the past, but... once FB started mauling my privacy and my personal life starting getting chronicled in Google for stupid BS privacy loopholes etc, I said forget it.

No to FB. They will die out soon enough anyway... People will start to see how much of their social lives are being ruined by Facebook.

  19. Good luck with the job man!

I was hesitant about facebook too... but if you just take it for what it is then it's actually a pretty useful way to stay in touch with people. Especially since I'm halfway around the world from all my friends at the moment :p

  22. Facebook is what AOL wanted to be back in the day. It's really not a bad thing. I think they've done a good job with it. Just realize that none of your shit is private, no matter what your settings are.

  24. Yeah man, I have spent way too much time on facebook. It can be particularly bad when you have an addictive personality.
